1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pila ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use Pila.

2. Description of Service

Pila is an AI-powered design platform that enables users to reconstruct, extract, generate, and edit visual design assets. Core capabilities include:

  • Design reconstruction: Upload a design image and receive an editable, layered reconstruction with isolated text, shapes, and background elements.
  • Asset extraction: Automatically isolate and download individual visual layers and elements from uploaded designs.
  • Font generation: Generate matching fonts from uploaded designs using AI.
  • Asset generation: Generate new design assets and visual elements using AI.
  • Design editing: Edit and customise reconstructed designs directly within the platform.

The Service is provided for personal and commercial creative use.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pila only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

  • Upload designs, images, or content that you do not own or do not have the right to use.
  • Use the Service to extract or reconstruct assets from copyrighted works without appropriate authorisation.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise interfere with the Service.
  • Use automated tools to access the Service in ways that place unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, obscene, or violates any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Use AI-generated outputs from the Service to mislead, deceive, or misrepresent their origin.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all designs and files you upload to Pila. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. By uploading content, you grant Pila a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the Service — including reconstruction, extraction, font generation, and asset generation features.

The Pila platform, including its name, logo, interface, and underlying technology, is the intellectual property of Pila and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without prior written permission.

6. AI Processing & Accuracy

Pila uses artificial intelligence to analyse, reconstruct, extract, and generate design assets. While we strive for high accuracy, all AI outputs are provided on an "as is" basis and results may vary depending on the complexity, quality, and content of uploaded designs. We do not guarantee that reconstructions, extractions, generated fonts, or generated assets will be perfect, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose.

7. Credits & Billing

Certain features of the Service consume credits. Credits are deducted based on the operations performed, such as reconstructions and asset generation. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to adjust credit pricing and feature costs with reasonable notice.

8. Data Retention

Uploaded files and processed outputs are stored securely in your Pila account and remain accessible to you for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual files or your entire account at any time. Upon account deletion, your files and associated data will be permanently removed. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pila shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service is harmful. You may also delete your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
